About the designer
“I truly love Britain.” -
Born and raised in Italy, the designer moved to London in 2000 to complete a degree in Fashion Studies and to hone her skills at the University of the Arts London College of Fashion. Brigitte has always loved the wealth of history of fabric and textiles in Italy; the beautiful weave, the colours, and the texture. She has long held a passion for her culture too, from the food and the coffee to the people themselves. Running parallel with this was her passion for the vibrancy and originality of London and it's eclectic mixture of styles, communities, its history and way of life. Combining these cherished influences, Brigitte has formed a diverse and unique approach to fashion, combining mixed media with male and female fashion to form bold, androgynous clothing that truly stands out.

MILITARY INFLUENCE
The design of the clothing is inspired by structure. Structured and unstructured styles, with the print pattern designed by Brigitte. The trims are also unique, often very brightly coloured or contrasting with the garment. Textures and prints are a passion. Trims involve cording and suggest a military look. While studying for her degree Military tailoring become significant during the course. Influence came from uniforms as far back as the 1700s and corsetry informed design. Some influence from the clergy is also recognisable.
